TEEN ART CLASSES

2008 TEEN ART CLASSES

The recommended beginning age is 13.

 

v      Students may join at any time. Tuition may be prorated.

v      Classes are kept small to allow for more one on one instruction.

v      Class Maximum is 6.

v      $100.00 per month tuition. Four 2-hour classes per month unless otherwise noted.

v      Two Class sessions available – Saturday afternoons and Monday Evenings

v      Supplies provided unless otherwise noted.

v      PRE - REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED

IMPRESSIONISIM – Our study of the visual arts will focus on the 1800's: Impressionism, Neo Impressionism, and Post Impressionism. We will also include Pointillism/Divisionism as part of this study.
 

November 2008

We continue our study of the 1800's and Impressionism.

 

December 2008

Our study of the Visual Arts will now focus on the 1900's: Expressionism, Abstract Expressionism, and Fauvism.

POLYMER CLAY is a sculpable material based on the polymer polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It contains no clay minerals, and is only called "clay" because  it's texture and working properties resemble those of mineral clay. It is used by artists, hobbyists and children.	$ 125.00		3 openings
	July 7,14,21,28	Mon	5:30pm-7:30pm	Teen Ages 13-17	Mixed media Fiber Art.  Fiber Art- Fiber Art is a style of fine art which uses textiles such as fabric , yarn, and natural or synthetics fibers. It focuses on the materials and on the manual labor involved as part of it's significance. Students will create an original painting using a variety of fibers and paint mediums.	$ 100.00	$15.00 Supply Fee	3 openings

Graphite, acrylics, and dremeling	$   75.00	$ If Students wish to work on an Ostrich or Emu eggshells there will be a $20.00 supply fee. Otherwise, studio will provide goose eggshells and chicken eggshells with no supply fee.	3 openings
